• Account info: name, handle, email, phone, avatar.
• Identity: legal name, date of birth, address — required to comply with US money-transmission laws.
• Payment data: bank, card, and payout details processed by our payment partner (Stripe).
• Transaction data: amounts, counterparties, notes, reactions, and timestamps.
• Device & usage: IP address, device type, browser, and product analytics.

• To run the Service: send money, settle payouts, show your activity.
• To verify identity and prevent fraud, money laundering, and abuse.
• To comply with legal obligations (KYC, tax reporting, court orders).
• To improve the product and communicate with you.

• Stripe — payments, payouts, Connect accounts, KYC.
• Supabase — database, authentication, and file storage.
• Service providers — analytics, email delivery, customer support tooling.
• Authorities — when required by law or to protect users.
• Counterparties — your handle, display name, and avatar are visible to people you transact with.

We do not sell your personal information.

We use first-party cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and measure product usage. You can block cookies in your browser, but parts of the Service may not work.

We keep account and transaction records for as long as your account is active and for up to 7 years after closure to meet US financial recordkeeping requirements.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your data, or to object to certain processing. Email privacy@zipio.app and we will respond within 30 days.

We protect data in transit with TLS and at rest with industry standard encryption. Sensitive financial credentials are tokenized by Stripe and never stored on zipio servers. No system is perfectly secure — please use a strong, unique password and enable any available second factor.

zipio is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

zipio is operated from the United States. If you use the Service from outside the US, you consent to your data being processed in the US, which may have different protections than your country.
